On Friday evening, 23rd January 2026, Carlos Martínez's final programme premiered to a sold-out audience at the Kabarett der Galgenstricke in Esslingen, Germany.
With "Zugabe!" (Encore!), the internationally renowned mime looks back on 44 years on stage and, at the age of 70, presents his eleventh major show. Humour and sensitivity guide the evening, as memories, encounters, and the universal power of mime unfold.
The show will tour internationally until the end of 2027. After that, Carlos Martínez will increasingly devote himself to teaching, supporting young artists and writing a new book. He will only occasionally return for brief guest appearances, but without make-up.
For audiences and organizers alike, Zugabe! is therefore the final opportunity to experience Carlos Martínez wearing the traditional mime mask in a full-length show.
